It’s a classic mistake made by businesses; their marketing approach is focused on print advertising and word of mouth. Fortunately, a new approach is starting to take root in Sedona to solve this problem. "Local search" online is starting to cause a flurry of excitement for some businesses who are taking advantage of the technology.

The DirectoryofSedona.com initiated plans to upgrade both Directory and Blog software platforms and user interface at the end of 2009. As a result, we have gone "off the air" during the period of conversion from our Beta testing platform to a stable, user-friendly environment.

We have taken advantage of this time to implement physical changes, too. Our new office/studio is now open and located in the Chapel Hill area.

We have missed bringing you your daily dose of local Sedona news & information! That we have been able to post this notice, indicates that we are close to the end of the project. Webmasters are still de-bugging a few things but we can see the light!

• Phase II of the new bridge will start this week with drilling of the remaining columns and underground foundations.
• There may be night work this week between Canyon Drive and Morgan Wash to install a 42” storm drain. Work will be from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be one lane of traffic being directed by flaggers in this area.
• During the day, short duration traffic restrictions to one lane will occasionally be necessary for up to 10-minutes during wall form setting, and for equipment and truck access to the work area between Canyon Drive and Morgan Wash. Please plan your travels accordingly.
• Paving is scheduled to occur starting Tuesday, January 12 between Bowstring and Morgan Wash, and along San Miguel.
