“Enlighten Up!” presented by Sedona Film Festival on Sept. 22

Sedona, AZ – Award-winning documentary takes us on a skeptic’s journey into the world of yoga.

Filmmaker Kate Churchill is determined to prove that yoga can transform anyone. Nick Rosen is skeptical but agrees to be her guinea pig. Kate immerses Nick in yoga, and follows him around the world as he examines the good, the bad and the ugly of yoga. Hence, the film “Enlighten Up!” is born, and what unfolds and what they discover is not what they expected.

The critically-acclaimed, award-winning documentary “Enlighten Up!” makes its Sedona debut on Tuesday, Sept. 22. There will be two screenings of the film at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Harkins Sedona Six Theatres. “Enlighten Up!” is the final film in the Sedona International Film Festival’s four-week “What’s Up, Doc?” Documentary Series featuring award-winning documentaries from festivals around the world.

Churchill is a filmmaker and a dedicated yoga practitioner who insists that yoga can transform anyone. She decides to prove it. Her plan: select a subject, immerse him in yoga and follow him until he finds a yoga practice that transforms him. Her subject: Nick Rosen a skeptical, 29 year-old journalist living in New York City.
